This Pub is Permanently Closed
Located on Southampton's busy Bevois Valley corridor, the Dorchester Arms was refurbished 2012/13 inside and out. It has two bars; the larger of which has a stage and at least three dart boards while the smaller of which has a pool table and leads to a smoking area at the rear. As well and pool and darts, there is a jukebox, TVs and regular live music, with the usual Southampton pub circuit bands a regular fixture. Pub closed around 27/08/14 following suspension of the licence. Planning permission for change of use to a shop & associated works given 20/08/15. Latest news (mid February 2016) is that it is to become a 'board games café' on 04/03/2016, though it does not have planning permission for this.
