The former Dukes Head, sitting on the A3057 just north of Romsey near the River Test, reopened as the Duke on the Test in July 2022.
The front of the pub is cosy with low beamed ceilings, wooden floors and vintage pictures. To the left is a lower seating area with pictures of Dukes, after the pub's name. To the right is a large wood burner with a snug area on the other side. At the rear, in contrast to the rest of the pub, is an impressive open plan extension with high pitch roof added in 2022. A large brick fronted L-shaped bar serves both the front and rear.
Outside there is an ornamental garden at the front and a patio with modern benches at the rear. Beyond this are 12 guest rooms and a short path to the River Test. The pub serves a wide range of food, featuring local ingredients, including gourmet sandwiches at lunchtime.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
