Old, traditional country pub off the main A31 in delightful village location, near to River Itchen (fly fishing) and the famous Pilgrim's Way (walkers). Pub is split into several rooms, decorated with local pictures and fishing memorabilia, with most of the tables set up for eating. Up market, good and varied food menu is served alongside usual range of Wadworth's fine ales. (You may need to book table in the restaurant, even mid week). Outside are numerous benches in a picturesque garden that runs alongside a tributary of River Itchen.
