Please note this Pub is closed 19/08/2018 and became Permanently Closed 06/10/2021 (Housing). Closed mid August 2018. Planning had been granted in December 2019 to build 3 houses on former pub land at the rear. The February 2020 rumour was that the pub itself has been sold to those developers. The developers were Bayview Developments Ltd and in fact the pub had been sold by Ei Group to Stoneriver Projects Ltd. A new application went in on 05/07/2021 for 'Change of use of former White Horse Pub to form two dwellings, erect three detached dwellings to rear with associated parking and amenity space; demolition of rear extensions'. This was approved 06/10/2021.

This Pub is Permanently Closed

Grade II listed and said to have been built in the 18th century, the White Horse may incorporate the Kings Arms which stood on the site in 1720. Entry from the car park is via an extensive garden. The main, L-shaped bar has small alcoves furnished with bench seating. A second bar has a pool table, dart board & juke box and there's also a family dining room and conservatory.

The White Horse is a family run business with three generations of the family living and working together. The menu features home-cooked food and a wide choice of dishes; large tables and private parties catered for if booked in advance.

The pub is a half mile to the beach, and one mile to the delights of Keyhaven and the marshes.

Late 18th century with 19th & 20th century extensions, Grade II listed. Historic England list entry 1275162
