A large historic pub now decorated in a modern style, located in the middle of Swansea's main bar, café & nightclub quarter. There is a long single open plan room with the bar running along the right-hand side. It has a separate raised seating area at the rear, with its own bar, leading to a large outside seating area.
History:
Original Era (1970s–1990s): The Coach House was a legendary independent live music venue known for its "dungeon" stage in the cellar. It was a staple of Swansea's music scene throughout the 1980s.
The Interim (2000s–2021): The venue closed in the late 1990s or early 2000s and operated as a Pitcher & Piano for many years.
The Revival (2022–Present): After a major refurbishment, the venue reopened under its original name, The Coach House, in 2022, aiming to recapture the spirit of the old pub with a modern twist.
The building itself has been a Grade II listed structure since March 30, 1987, which helps preserve its historic character within the Wind Street conservation area.
