A characterful wood beamed 16th century inn with lots of exposed beams and a large fireplace fitted with a wood-burner. There's a raised galley on one side of the main bar area.
The large garden to the rear features a barbecue (in the summer) and children's play area.
Most kitchen produce is grown in the pub's own garden. There are various themed food evenings. The pub has a separate annex for accommodation. It's also a registered Caravan club camping site. There's no background music, but occasional live music is offered outside.
Most of the guest beers are sourced from local brewers. The regular beer may swap to Ghost Ship in the summer months. There are two annual beer festivals (held in June and August).
