Grade II traditional village local in the shadow of the impressive church. This is a gem of a village local public house serving good wine, beer and real ales in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. A listed building several hundred years old, with much character and more than a little charm!

The beers may well change according to the season.

Regular winner of Rutland CAMRA Pub of the Year and Pub of the Season. In May 2024 it was named CAMRA's Area Pub of the Year for Leicestershire, Northamptonshire & Rutland. Has appeared in every GBG since 2020.
