Under new management from July 2025, this is a welcoming three room village pub, formerly a Thwaites house, but free of tie for many years since. Traditional comfortable furnishing, plain walls with some old photos of the village and locality, public bar with stone floor and wood burning stove as you enter, a dining type room to the right and another room at the back. Outside at the front is a pleasant ‘Astro-turfed’ area with bench tables and parasols. As well as local cask ales, Draught Bass is a regular too.
