Busy, friendly pub with plenty of outside seating. Accredited for beer quality 2024.
Popular pub with a central bar that serves three distinct areas. The small wooden floored bar has a dartboard; the larger room has a wood-burner and a roll-down screen for major sporting events, but mostly conversation prevails. The attractive terraced garden is on many levels and adorned with flowers in summer.
From the kitchen, a good value Pensioner's Special is available on Tuesday lunchtimes, pub meals all week (except Sunday evenings and all day on Mondays), pie nights and tapas nights once a month, and there are two Sunday carvery sittings. Daily fresh cobs and pork pies are always available.
On the bar are well-kept Bathams mild and bitter, Ludlow Gold and a changing beer.
It has earned a number of local CAMRA awards.
Level access to the bar and part of the lounge. Step to WC's (not adapted).
