Busy, friendly pub with plenty of outside seating. Accredited for beer quality 2024
Popular pub with a central bar that serves three distinct areas. The small wooden floored bar has a dartboard; the larger room has a wood-burner and a roll-down screen for major sporting events, but mostly conversation prevails. An old kitchen range in the dining area adds to the cottagy feel. The attractive terraced garden is on many levels and adorned with flowers in summer.
From the kitchen, a good value Pensioner's Special is available on Tuesday lunchtimes, pub meals all week (except Sunday evenings and all day on Mondays), pie nights and tapas nights once a month, and there are two Sunday carvery sittings. Daily fresh cobs and pork pies are always available.
On the bar are well-kept Bathams mild and bitter, Ludlow Gold and a changing beer.
It has earned a number of local CAMRA awards.
Level access to the bar and part of the lounge. Step to WC's (not adapted).
