Village inn with a strong community feel and a very warm welcome for walkers (including groups) and other visitors. Excellent-value, home-cooked food is available lunchtimes and evenings Guest beers are from the local SIBA list, with up to three beers on handpull offered. Major sporting events are shown on a large-screen TV, but there is normally a quiet corner to be found. The bar displays memorabilia relating to the Cragg Vale Coiners, a gang of 18th-century forgers.

Preferred method of payment is cash but card is also accepted

Last orders are called 30 minutes prior to the closing times.

Car park users are required to register their vehicle at the bar.
