Built on an unusual triangular site, this pub has been partially opened out, but retains much of its original Victorian style. A bright and welcoming bar faces the entrance at an angle; the small seating area to the left, with its fireplace and decorative pictures, was once a separate 'snug'. Note the line on the wall indicating the level of the Boxng Day 2015 flooding. To the right there are two pleasant rooms running along the front of the building, linked by an arch and fitted out with attractive wall seating. There's a good Victorian style fireplace at the other end and numerous interesting prints on the walls. Further back, to the right of the bar, there's an open area with several musical instruments and unusual light fittings.
They have six cask ales, a quality wine menu and extensive gin and vodka ranges, while non-drinkers may wish to partake of their coffee offerings.
