Half a mile from Brighouse town centre, it is well worth the walk to this long standing excellent free house. Formerly known as The Wharf, the alehouse was purpose-built around 1900 for the adjacent coal wharf which served much of western Yorkshire. Three wharfmen’s cottages still stand alongside the pub by the Red Beck.
There is a ‘bike park’ area between the river and outdoor seating area at the front for use of visiting cyclists. Muddy boots welcome.
This Pub serves 5 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
