Following two years of closure, the Portland Hotel re-opened its doors at the end of June 2018

The new owners, brother & sister Steven and Sharn Swan, have worked hard to reopen but still have some work to do,......... their words.

"There is an ongoing programme of improvements but we are open welcoming people to the bar, restraunt and 12 of our 22 rooms"

In the long term, the idea is to get at least one handpump, probably during 2019, but for the time being bottled beer is available.

Previously, the family team transformed Baltasound Hotel, and are looking to reproduce their magic to make Portland Hotel the hub of the local community and make Lybster a place to stop off visitors to the North.
