Hotel & Reataurant.

The Borve House Hotel used to serve Real ale in the late 80's, and as such was a pioneer for Real Ale on the Western Isles.

It appeared in the Good Beer Guide in 1986 and 1987, and is listed on WhatPub so as to include all the licensed premises in the Highlands & Western Isles Branch Area, and we hope one day Real Ale will return.

Please note that this is a "desktop survey" and has not been visited.

Note - Dummy opening and food times - please contact the Hotel if you want to visit.

If travelling by bus, check with "W1" route operator Galson Motors 01851 840269

Based on this surveyor visiting the area in the past make sure you visit The Butt of Lewis to see the lighthouse. Expect a breathtaking experience, particularly if it a "wee bit windy"!
