Cask Ale not available

This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.

B&B.

The Steading Highland Glen Lodge is now operating as a B&B with four rooms and Restaurant having been what was a "community pub" for many years.

It has been voted "Best B&B and Inn" by Kayak subscribers for 2019.

Set in beautiful Glen Urquhart just 6 miles West of Drumnadochit and Loch Ness.

Home cooked food using local produce available between 5 and 8.30 in the evening.

Gary, the owner, advises he still welcomes restaurant customers, both resident and non resident, but strongly advises that they book to confirm.

Although there is no real ale, nor "kegged" craft beer there is an extensive range of bottled Cairngorm beers which is available.

The business offers itself as a base for touring at any time of the year, and from their website:-

"This is the ideal place for a peaceful and relaxing break in a quiet rural setting, close to mountains and sea, in some very diverse environments, in the Scottish Highlands,

From our door stop you have easy access to Glen Affric National Nature Reserve, Affric Kintail Way and Corrimony RSPB Nature Reserve, with plenty off-road cycling and mountain biking routes." (continues)

From the website, there are also links to many suggested tours.

Open over the festive period but there are no "bedecked trees", bunting nor baubles. So for a fuss free "Christmas free" Christmas, this may be of interest!
