The one large irregular-shaped room appears to have originally been several different rooms. The area nearest the car park entrance has a quarry tiled floor and is reminiscent of a traditional public bar. Adjacent to this is a cosy snug type area with timber panelled walls and exposed ceiling joists. The remaining areas are more accommodating to diners. Outside, rear of the large car park there is a children’s play area and a garden with picnic tables, a petanque pitch, and a fine view over the fields. The Centrebus 747 Leicester to Uppingham service serves the village; there are stops on the main road, but most buses run through the village via Main Street.
