Following a major refurbishment, the premises reopened as a 'Farmhouse Inns' pub and family restaurant in November 2016. Very large interior with most tables set out for dining. A daily carvery and extensive food menu is available all day, and there is a selection of exotic ice creams and home-made cakes. Also a play area for the toddlers. There is a Premier Inn hotel attached and the pub opens early for breakfasts. Outside is an attractive lawned garden under tall trees.
Historic Interest
This was a large Victorian house in extensive grounds, converted to pub in the 1980s by M&B. It went through several different owners, including Greenalls who extended the pub and developed 'Millers Kitchen' branding; and was later a Spirit 'Fayre & Square' pub before coming into Greene King ownership.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers (Usually Greene King beers) and 1 regular beer.
