Nineteenth-century former coaching inn, handy for dog walkers, students and sports supporters. Long-standing tenants retired in 2025, and management of the pub was taken over by the local 'Beautiful Pubs' chain. After a full refurbishment it was reopened in April 2026. Behind the pub is the largest pub garden in Leicester complete with children's play equipment. Regular quiz nights and special events take place.
