Driving out of Macclesfield on the Whaley Bridge road, this is the last pub at the top of the hill, before the road bends right and down into open country, towards Kerridge Ridge and Rainow. A long, low white building, parts of which are reputed to
be 400 years old, this was once a school for privileged girls. There is one long room with the bar at the end on the left as you go in, plus separate family/dining room. The garden slopes steeply up at the back but has decking areas for outside drinking. Walkers, dogs and users of the canal (about 100 mtrs down the hill) are all welcome.
Food is served all day.
Will be open 12-12 from Easter
This Pub serves 2 changing beers (Two Guest beers) and 0 regular beers.
