The are four regular beers including a house beer from Mobberley Brewhouse. There is also an extensive wine list of about 40 assorted wines, including 2 dessert wines and 8 sparkling wines. Pleasant décor, supplemented in winter by 3 real fires.

The pub offers a high class food menu, including daily specials, that can be served anywhere in the pub. The pub is equally friendly for drinkers and diners, the two co-existing happily. Opens early for breakfast. There is live music on alternate Fridays, but call to confirm. Major sporting events, such as the 6 Nations Rugby Union championship and World Cups are shown on the TV screen. Dominoes, scrabble and other pub games are available to be played. There are outdoor terraces both to the front and rear of the pub. There is a small outdoor bar offering a more limited range of drinks when the weather is fine.

Only one 88 bus now passes the pub (stops at Over Peover) but all Knutsford/Macclesfield buses pass close (Chelford La/Stocks La) though nearest official stop is at Park Gate Inn.
