The Waterwheel is situated underneath the 11-storey high Brook House council flats in Warrington Road at the heart of Scholes Village, was built in 1968 as a replacement for five traditional pubs. The 3,000 sq ft one-floor pub has trophies and pictures from the past pinned to the walls.
