Formerly a Wetherspoon, the pub was bought by a family business in December 2021. Real ales ceased to be available at this time. The pub is on one level apart from a raised area by the window to the right.

Refurbished and renamed in December 2025 as an Irish theme bar named after a 1930s & 40s US radio comedy.
