Located off the main road, this low-ceilinged pub, with its large open fire and interesting artifacts, has a cosy feel. It offers a varied beer range, usually from independent brewers. For a small pub it has quite a high weekly turnover of beer, and the landlord is enthusiastic about his ales. It is one of the rare pubs nowadays not to provide food, concentrating on beer quality instead.
