A large detached chain owned Public House and Hotel situated at the Western end of the town, which reopened in September 2026 after having been closed for a while. A central entrance porch faces a large central “U” shaped bar, in this open plan pub with a bright and airy modern interior. To the left of the bar is an open fireplace, and some leather sofas, plus a pool table. To the right of the bar is further seating. There is also a lower ground floor function room with its own bar and entrance. A range of meals are on offer.

As the hotel has only just reopened in Sept 2026, not all the accommodation rooms are initially available for use. Please contact the hotel for more information on these.
