The Plough occupies a grade II listed Welsh Longhouse dating from 1798. The inn was extended in the 19th century, the pool table for instance is in a former blacksmiths shop. Entering the front door a well appointed dining room is to the left, the bar and lounge to the right. The bar has a large fireplace and quarry tiled floor with evidence of it's early days as a parlour pub. Llanrhaeadr is famous for the Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, one of the the Seven Wonders of Wales. Visitors may recognise the inn from the Hugh Grant film “An Englishman Who Went Up A Hill...” En-suite accommodation is available and there is an adjoining holiday cottage. Food is served using local ingredients where possible. Offa's Dyke's ales appear on a regular basis. **Reported closed in April 2019 and been advertised for a new leaseholder. Update August 2019 - Pub to be converted into an Indian restaurant**
