Three storey Victorian building given a refit by Charringtons in the inter-war years and seasonal summer pub 2015 award winner. Although the room divisions have been lost in recent years, it still retains the original counter, bar back fitting, panelled walls and parquet floor. Charrington's tiled apron around the base of the counter. Also, a vestibule entrance on the Nelson Street side with stained glass windows. The mosaic floors in the lobby on the Nelson Street side are survivors from the original Victorian build. Three real ales are served from Adnams. All food served is vegan or vegetarian. A beer garden with decking has been added behind the pub. Live music most nights in the pub either in the main bar or in the upstairs rooms.

The etched windows are likely to be replacements.
