Formerly the Derby Wine Vaults this back street corner local is very close to the award winning Time & Tide museum. There is a nice relaxed comfortable atmosphere and the pool table and television are tucked away in room separated from the bar by folding doors, which can also be used for small functions. There are many photos of Old Yarmouth during the herring fishing days when the town was invaded by seasonal Scottish herring boats. Evidence of the old smoke houses is still visible in the area. Run by a knowledgeable and engaging landlord who offers consistently high quality ales as a result of excellent cellarmanship. Lacons ales from the nearby brewery often feature on one of the handpumps. A true community pub. PLEASE NOTE NO CHILDREN OR DOGS ALLOWED.
