Lacons Brewery has a rich history dating back to 1760. In the 1960s it was acquired by a giant metropolitan brewer and reclaimed independence in 2013. To this day it brews with original Lacons yeast, frozen at the National Yeast Bank for almost 50 years, endowing its beer with centuries of brewing heritage.
