This Pub is Closed Long Term

A rather grand corner building close to Charlton railway station and the Charlton Athletic F.C. ground, with a basic interior. Spent time in the middle to late 1980s run by local entrepreneur John McDonnell and had a brewery in operation for a short while.

Multiple accommodation rooms above.

Note: planning permission was granted in May 2019 for a three-storey side extension and change of use of part of ground floor to create 60-bed hotel, retaining pub on remainder of ground floor. Work is nearing completion on the conversion but the future plans for the ground floor pub space are still unclear. but in March 2023 an application for a new premises licence was submitted to Royal Borough of Greenwich.
