A house in the mid 17th century it has been a pub since at least 1763 and known as the White Hart from1834. This small, open-plan local facing the green at Lower Wolvercote possibly also once had a blacksmith's or wheelwright's attached to it. Since 2014 it has been a community-run pub with a welcoming and family-friendly feel. It serves three or four regularly changing local ales. The pub hosts regular music nights featuring jazz, sea-shanties, and Irish folk. Has extended opening hours and food offering under new management since late 2024.
