More a restaurant and cocktail bar
The public bar is a cosy room, with a large fireplace with wood burner (note the aunt sally doll and stick embedded in the chimney piece).
The main room is set out as a restaurant/cocktail bar, which serves a changing, season-influenced "Gastropub" menu which tries to use local produce (see website for menus). The garden is extensive with covered areas and interesting "pods".
While the owners are focused on developing the business around the restaurant, cocktails and events venue, they are committed to keeping the public bar as a traditional village pub space. The Manor is now the last pub in the village. Real ale remains popular, with normally two local choices available. Often Oxford and/or XT but other breweries on occasion.
Community Supported
The Garsington Community Benefit Society Ltd failed to raise enough funds and the pub was sold by Greene King to OX1 Ltd. The community group continues to support the pub.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
