Large open plan bar, with inglenook fireplace and games area, and separate restaurant/functions room. Tables out front and on side patio are popular and often crowded in good weather.
Originally a timber framed house dating back to about 1700. It is much altered and extended but some original timber framing remains. There is a deep inglenook fireplace set in thick stone walls. The food is honest pub grub and there are daily specials.
Same ownership as Crown Inn opposite but beer range differs.
