This Pub is Permanently Closed

Pub closed in May 2014 after Punch decided to cash in. Many applications were refused and there was a campiagn to re-open the pub, but ultimately it came to nothing. Now housing.

A traditional pub where ale is king. Although there are no regular beers, the local Wild Weather Ales are frequently available and proving to be popular. This is a locals' pub but the banter at the bar is friendly and welcoming. The skittle alley can be booked for an enjoyable evening. Bus there on the Jet Black (No 1) or by rail to Theale.
