Tucked away down a narrow lane about one-third of a mile from the no.24 bus stop on the B3002 (Liphook Road) at Headley Green this popular country pub gained new management in July 2025 who changed the emphasis from gastropub to village local, but still with a good food offering Friday and weekends and simple bar snacks available at other times. A once monthly food truck visit adds to the fare. See Website for details of what is currently on offer.

Historic Friary Meux brewery sign by the door and a most impressive fireplace with baking niche at one end of the raised area The verdant terraced garden with a brook running along the bottom is down some steps behind the car park on the opposite side of the lane.
