Friendly village local with welcoming small stone-floored bar and cheery open fire in the winter months. There is a separate dining area plus a raised decking area for outside drinking and eating at the front. The seasonal plant arrangements throughout are a visual delight. Food is very much part of the pub's offering. The menu, along with daily specials, children’s options and Sunday roasts should appeal to most tastes. Simple bar snacks are also served.

Handy for Paxton House (approx. 1 mile) and the River Tweed. A member of the Timothy Taylor Champion Club.
