A friendly family run, cosy street corner local tucked away in a leafy residential area down a very narrow road. The public bar is popular with locals and visitors alike and good conversation is the order of the day. Board games are also available for entertainment. An unusual and welcome choice of real ales for the area is guaranteed on every visit, which has helped to pub win the local CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year award in 2020. There are four constantly changing guest ales sourced from all around the country including a dark beer. There are also four keg beers available, all from independent local producers. Beers currently on tap are displayed on a blackboard and regularly updated on the website and social media.
Following a refurbishment in early spring 2024 meals are no longer served but pizza cooked to order is available.
