Comfortable, unpretentious, cosy wood-panelled bar with numerous pictures decorating the walls. The front area looks on to Leith Walk, the rear is divided into several smaller seating areas. The Real Ales are usually from local smaller Scottish breweries. Pizzas from Origano can be ordered from 5pm to 10pm and are brought to the pub. A quiz is held on Wednesday evenings, chess and dominoes are available at other times. Children are not admitted.

WARNING: The handpump on the left is serving Live Beer from a sealed keg but with minimal CO2 pressure applied, so it doesn't taste fizzy. It's the same beer that may also be put in casks. Ask the staff for more information if required.
