The pub reopened by July 2018, following refurbishment after a lengthy period of closure. Though a sign outside says that real ale is being sold, this has not yet been reinstated and the new tenant is waiting to gauge how much support there is for cask beer before putting it back on. There is a huge gin selection (21 different brands). The pub features a pool table, fruit machine and a juke box.
