Campsite & Event Space
Situated about 1 mile from the village along Kilnhurst Road, Hooton Lodge, a substantial stone property, set back from the road, began as a farm lodge. By the 1980's it had become a restaurant and, in the 2000's it became a Country Pub with restaurant. This closed in 2015 and was eventually sold off as a private house. Part of the land was used as a touring caravan park and campsite and occassional events were held on site. In August 2019 this became licensed and is used for various events. Opening hours may vary, depending on the event.
