The home of the (currently mothballed) Sheffield Brewery Company, housed in an 1840's Victorian polish factory, serving cask beer, keg beer and a variety of spirits. The tap room may be hired for events.
Historic Interest
Alder is on the CAMRA Local Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. The pub operates in the historic Albyn Complex, well-known for producing the world famous Blanco Polish in its time. Nowadays, the original, rustic Victorian red-brick factory houses one of the UK’s only traditional, gravity-fed tower brewing systems, and is home to the Brewery Tap Room.
