Friendly family owned pub with a reputation for good food, and it serves good beer as well. It has a separate bar if you just want a drink. The guest beers are often from local breweries. A fifteen minute walk from the Trent & Mersey Canal at Bridge 86. Refurbished in 2017. Children welcome, garden and farm animals. There is a well maintained camping field situated adjacent to the car park (Caravan Club CL), facilities include drinking water & Elsan disposal. Owners of larger ‘rigs’ may find it necessary to enter/ leave the field (via the car park) when the pub is closed and the car park is empty. Level entry to pub, bar and some parts of the restaurant; slight step to toilets, no dedicated accessible toilet.
