This welcoming country pub that is known locally as the 'Romping Cat' or just "The Cat." Unspoilt and full of character, along with the adjoining farm it has been in the same family since 1920. The family run the farm by day and the pub by night. Well behaved children accepted but check first. The main room has a timeless feel with its quarry tile floor, meat hooks in the ceiling and inglenook fireplace. The atmosphere is undisturbed by music, gaming machines or TV. A real local's pub but a warm welcome to visitors is extended. Opening times in winter may be shorter. Well worth the effort to find.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
Red Lion, Dayhills
Changing beers typically include: Morland - Old Speckled Hen , Sharp's - Doom Bar
