This Pub is Closed Long Term

Sold to a developer 10th Feb 2021.

The pub is situated in the hamlet of Sutton, about 3 miles from Newport. The building date back to the 17th century andit is the only remaining timber framed building in the village. Nowadays the Lion is a beautifully kept, old-fashioned pub. Access is from the car park, An imposing entrance leads into the bar which has a stone flagged floor, there is a carpeted lounge area and a small, separate dining room. The pub is noted for high quality food and the menus are changed every few days, using locally sourced produce wherever possible. There are separate children's and vegetarian menus.
