This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

Long established private members club, dating from 1894. Guests are welcome, and allowed up to three visits before they have to join. Membership is only £3, or about the price of a pint, as a notice on the door announces. Two handpulls serving changing beers, often Batemans XB. Interior is smart, modern and well presented, with good quality carpets throughout. Pool table in separate extension at the front. No onsite parking.

Although no function room, functions can be held in rear part of lounge. Note, closing time varies depending on business, but after midnight not unusual. For walkers there is a 3 mile footpath along the Dutch Riverbank from Goole
