Outstanding village pub with two rooms, a bar and a pool room. Well-known in the region and winner of multiple awards including the Yorkshire Pub of the Year competition in 2011. The pub is excellently run by Jill and her team, who are keen to keep this local pub running as a real ale pub. Large beer garden. The beers served here are always in perfect condition. Book-lined walls and an open fire provide a haven on a cold winter’s day. It is the perfect place to sample the four guest ales; a traditional cider can also be enjoyed. The patio or river bank beckon in warmer weather. District Pub of the Year 2024 and Pub of the Season Spring 2025.
