Grade 2 listed former coaching inn. It was a Joule's pub and is decorated in their usual tasteful style. The interior consists of two bars, a small public bar to the left and a large lounge to the right. The lounge is divided into discrete areas with settles and bench seating. At the rear is a patio overlooking fields. Note the stained glass panels with pictures of dogs. The building next door is available for functions. Food is now available. There are five handpumps, but they may not all be in use. Note that the sign outside says The Talbot which was its former name. It has always been The Dog to locals. New signage will be erected soon.
