Closed December 2024 and has reverted to being a commercial premises.

Situated in the centre of town, The Cemist is an independent bar, offering an up market drinking experience. Established in 2018, The Cemist bar is housed in a former pharmacy, which had previously been the White Horse Hotel, which had closed in 1969. Two spacious floors accommodate the offer of cocktails, drinks, food and live music.

Initially offering two cask beers. The handpumps were described as broken when visited in March 2023.
