Accredited for beer quality 2022.
Re-opened December 2021 after a long period of closure. This is Oswestry's oldest surviving pub. The interior has three distinct drinking areas served by a horseshoe bar. There are five handpumps serving up to four ever changing cask beers and one cider.
The rear of the pub has an outdoor room in what was presumably a stable block, a wooden smoking shelter, and an Astroturf walled garden with picnic tables.
Historic Interest
Built as a house in 15C, probably a pub since 19C. Much altered inside but retains historic building features externally
