Built in 1874 on the site of an older inn in the village centre, the Buck has a large restaurant with open fire and a separate low-ceilinged, stone-flagged Hikers Bar (separate entrance) with a wood-burning stove. Dogs and muddy boots are welcome in the Hikers Bar. Outside beer garden accessible via Hikers Bar. Table reservations for food are encouraged, especially at weekends and evenings. Note: Bus services are not frequent but extras run on Summer Sundays, please check timetables on DalesBus.org.
