This Pub is Permanently Closed

Large, rambling and ornate late Victorian structure, heavily altered but retaining interesting ceilings and etched glass windows featuring the Prince of Wales feathers. Home of the Croydon Amateur Boxing Association, the 14-16 years olds train in the upstairs gym. The back bar has many old boxing photographs. Darts and Pool. Planning application 04/00914/P requesting the demolition of the pub for retail & housing purposes was granted on 15 February 2006.
